Credentialing and Privileging: Essential Processes for Pharmacists to Expand Patient Care Roles

As pharmacists continue to evolve patient care roles in various practice settings, understanding credentialing and privileging has become increasingly important. Credentialing and privileging processes are commonly used for health care providers across the health care system, from individual provider practices to health care provider organizations and payers. From the payer perspective, credentialing is important in both fee-for-service models and evolving value-based payment models where organizations and payers are focused on engaging highly functioning teams of health care practitioners practicing at the top of their training.

Register for this webinar to learn about credentialing and privileging, what it is, why it’s important, how the processes are conducted, and examples of pharmacist credentialing and privileging in different practice settings.
