the 2018-2019 Speaker-elect of the APhA House of Delegates during the recently completed Annual Meeting and Exposition in Nashville, TN. After serving as Speaker-elect, Dr. Mattingly will serve as Speaker of the House and Trustee from 2019-2021.

Dr. Mattingly, who served as APhA-ASP Speaker of the House from 2008-2009, graduated from the University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy and Gatton College of Business and Economics. After graduating in May 2009, Dr. Mattingly began his professional pharmacy practice at The Kroger Company as an EPRN super trainer, facilitating the implementation of a new pharmacy information system to more than 40 pharmacies.

After completion of the pharmacy system rollout, he managed four different Kroger Pharmacy locations between 2010 and 2012 before being promoted to serve as District 6 Pharmacy Coordinator in Carbondale, IL, overseeing operations for 12 pharmacies. In 2013, Dr. Mattingly left The Kroger Company to lead Indianapolis operations as general manager for AlixaRx, a long-term care company that provides pharmacy services and remote automated dispensing systems to 23 skilled nursing facilities across Indiana, Kentucky, and Ohio. Dr. Mattingly currently serves as an assistant professor in the Department of Pharmacy Practice and Science at the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy, where he teaches business strategy to students in the professional program and is a strategic consultant for the University of Maryland Medical Center Department of Pharmacy. In 2016, Dr. Mattingly was selected as the graduating class Teacher of the Year. In addition to his work as a faculty member, he serves as the Director of Operations for the PATIENTS Program and is a PhD candidate in Pharmaceutical Health Services Research with a special focus in pharmacoeconomics.As Speaker-elect, Dr. Mattingly will serve as an Officer in the APhA House of Delegates and assist current APhA Speaker of the House of Delegates Michael D. Hogue, PharmD, FAPhA, FNAP, in the direction of the APhA Policy Process.

Short Description
The Speaker-elect serves a one-year term in that capacity before taking over as Speaker of the House and Trustee for two years. The entire term for this position is three years, beginning the day after the close of the 2018 APhA Annual Meeting and concluding on the last day of the 2021 APhA Annual Meeting.
